Janet Ballweg received a BS in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. Ballweg’s studio practice focuses on constructions of memory and the domestic experience through the use of integrated digital and traditional printmaking technologies. Her work has been exhibited in over 500 exhibitions across the U.S. and abroad and won numerous awards, including an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award and awarded residencies at the Guanlan Printmaking Base in Guanlan (China), the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown (MA), and Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga (WY). She is an ongoing member of Southern Graphics Council international and Mid America Print Council, where she has served on various committees and the board of officers. Ballweg is a Professor of Art at Bowling Green State University, where she currently serves as the Studio Division Chair and Head of the Printmaking program.
