MAPC Student & Emerging Artist Research Travel Grants

March 2, 2016

The Mid America Print Council is pleased to announce the establishment of a biennial Student and Emerging Artist Research Travel Grant program to support members whose research necessitates substantial travel expenditures. $1000 will be awarded for each of the following categories: Undergraduate, Graduate, and Emerging Artist. The inaugural grants will be awarded in the spring of 2016. Recipients will be given the opportunity to present their funded research findings at the 2016 MAPC Conference at the IU Southeast running from October 5 to 8, 2016. As presenters, their conference registration fee will be waived. Potential research travel may include participation in a printmaking workshop, creative research conducted at a printmaking atelier or residency, or other travel necessary to pursue a body of work or investigation of a print-related topic.
