RESERVATION FORM BELOW: Our food voucher program is designed to provide support and ease the burden of food insecurity for our members while attending the MAPC conference.
What are food vouchers?
Food vouchers, similar to gift certificates, are a form of financial assistance specifically designated for purchasing meals and food items during the conference. Printed vouchers are to be used at LSU campus vendors, ensuring the funds are directed towards meals within the conference host’s community.
Supporting a Thriving Community: The food voucher program is financially supported through a portion of the MAPC Silent Auction funds, allowing current conference members to support future conference members’ experiences.
Why is this important?
Increased Participation: Removing financial barriers to accessing food can encourage greater participation in workshops, exhibitions, and community events, fostering a more vibrant and engaged printmaking scene. The benefits of conference attendance can be drastically compromised due to barriers like food insecurity.
How to Reserve Food Voucher:
If you are a member who could benefit from this program, please fill out the form below to reserve your food voucher for the upcoming MAPC conference. LSU vouchers value $12 per voucher, which is the approximate cost of 1 meal at participating campus vendors. You do not have to appeal or present a case of need to reserve a voucher; all in need are welcome to request without question. Vouchers are in limited supply, so all reservations will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. We ask that a maximum of 2 vouchers (approximately 2 meals) be reserved per person in order to ensure the widest amount of support possible.
Distribution:
Reserved vouchers will be included along with the member’s conference nametag and will be distributed at registration. In order to accommodate anonymity and last-minute attendance, a small number of vouchers will also be reserved at the conference registration table for distribution on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Voucher use:
A list of participating LSU vendors will be provided at the conference. Vouchers are one-time use, good for 1 meal per voucher, and change cannot be given if the value of the meal is less than the $12 voucher value, per LSU Dining policy. If the meal exceeds the voucher value, the difference must be paid for by the member.
We are committed to making this program a success and welcome questions and feedback from our printmaking community.
