The Flint Print Club (FPC) at the Flint Institute of Arts Museum + Art School (FIA) seeks an artist printmaker to produce an exclusive print edition for the Club’s members and the Museum’s permanent collection.
AWARD:
– Commission project and museum acquisition
– $5,000 honorarium
– Up to $1,500 budget for supplies and printing
– Opportunity to give artist talk and demo at FIA (for an additional stipend with travel expenses covered)

In 2007, the Flint Print Club was established at the FIA, its mission to develop connoisseurship among its members and educate the general public about prints and printmaking. Each year the FPC commissions an artist to produce a print to augment both the FIA’s collection and the pursuit of personal collecting. In 2024 the Club evolved to better align with the value’s of the museum and the diverse community it serves, with special interest in collaborating with emerging and mid-career artists. In this pursuit, the FIA launched a Call for Entry for the first time in the Club’s history, seeking new voices in printmaking to bring their craft and creativity to Flint. 2025 marks the 2nd annual call.
