To nominate another printmaker please fill out this form. MAPC will reach out to the nominees to request more information. To self-nominate please submit this form. In order to build the 2024 ballot, the Nominating Committee requires a CV, headshot, bio and short statement of interest. Nomination materials are due by September 15!

Janet Ballweg
Janet Ballweg is the head of printmaking at Bowling Green State University. She received an MFA in Printmaking from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Art from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work, incorporating traditional and contemporary print processes to address issues of domesticity, has been exhibited in over 500 exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad and resides in numerous public collections. As a member of MAPC since 1991, Janet has served in multiple capacities over the years: Vice President (2000-02), on the Executive Board (2002-04), MAPC Journal Advisory Board (2010-14), and Member-At-Large (2016-18), among other roles.
Mary Claire Becker
Mary Claire Becker uses printmaking and sculpture to contemplate artificiality within media representations of Nature in industrialized societies. She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa, a Certificate of Book Arts from the UI Center for the Book, and a BFA from UNC Asheville. She has shown internationally at venues including Changsha Normal University (Changsha, Hunan, China), Manhattan Graphics Center (NY), and Tippetts and Eccles Gallery at Utah State University. Awards include Oklahoma State University’s 2020 Humanities, Arts and Design Grant and Central Michigan University’s 2019 Barstow Fellowship. She is currently the Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Oklahoma State University.
Kit MacNeil
Kit MacNeil is a genderqueer artist and educator living in Toronto, Ontario. MacNeil’s work has exhibited internationally in China, France, Canada, and across the US. Their research has been funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, and the South Carolina Arts Commission. MacNeil has completed residencies at Tsinghua University, the WNY Book Arts Center, Open Studio, and the Vermont Studio Center. They have an MFA in Studio Art from the University at Buffalo and they are the Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) of Printing History, Culture, and Practice at the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto. Further information on the Executive Board PositionsGeneral responsibilities of the Executive Board include:Organizing regular projects like the Annual Members’ Juried Exhibition and the PrintStream speaker series.Supporting and expanding the MAPC Membership.Siting and scheduling the biennial conference and regular meetings of MAPC.Advising hosts of the MAPC Conference.Meeting about once every two months, including a meeting during the biennial conference prior to the annual membership meeting.Amending the organization’s bylaws as deemed necessary.Preparing and presenting a budget for each fiscal year to present to the membership.
