2026 Members’ Juried Exhibition PRINTELLIGENCE Conference
The Louisiana State University College of Art & Design Galleries will host this year’s exhibition at Clark and Laura Boyce Gallery. It will be juried by Brandon V. Lewis. The show will take place September 11 – October 10, 2026, with a reception on October 9.

About the Juror
Brandon V. Lewis is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana–based visual artist and storyteller whose work serves as a living archive of memory, heritage, and Southern Black life. Lewis studied history at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, grounding his practice in the broader continuum of African American history and positioning his work as both art and preservation. Lewis currently serves as Director of the Helis Foundation John Scott Center, where he continues the legacy of the late artist John Scott, advancing art as a vehicle for cultural memory, community, and continuity. Selected works are represented by the Ferrara Showman Gallery in New Orleans, and he exhibited in Art Miami in 2024.
Entry Instructions

- No more than three entries per artist are permitted.
- Payment for this entry is on a sliding scale. Please pay what you can. We suggest student members pay $10 and regular members pay $20.
- Original works in all printmaking media are eligible, and must have been created within the last four years. Digital work and video are permitted; however, accepted artists might be asked to provide AV equipment.
- Images must be in .jpg format and sized under 2MB.
- Print-based installation (including non-permanent vinyl), sculptural prints, and work intended to hang from the ceiling (weight limit: 30 LBS) will be considered. If the work is accepted, the artist must provide all necessary hardware for display, and may be asked to be present on site for installation and de-installation. Works heavier than 30 LBS will be displayed on the floor, a plinth, or a pedestal. Pedestals are available in a range of sizes up to 18 inches square; 3D work requiring a vitrine must be smaller than 12 inches square. Weight restriction: 70 LBS.
- Works accepted into previous MAPC Members’ Exhibitions are not eligible.
- Entrants must be current MAPC members. If you are not already a member, please purchase or renew your membership here: https://midamericaprintcouncil.org/membership/.
- Entrants will be notified of acceptance status at the email provided in the submission process.

Instructions for Accepted Entrants
- All work must be ready to hang with hardware and installation instructions included. 2D works on paper must be framed with plexiglass and wired for hanging. No glass accepted. Anything wider than 30” must have d-rings only. Wire is acceptable if width is less than 30”, except if the works are the same size and are to be hung in a grid or on a line.
- Works may be hand-delivered or shipped. Artists are responsible for all shipping charges. Artists who ship their work must utilize sturdy, reusable containers and provide prepaid return labels inside the package upon delivery. No styrofoam packing peanuts. Artists are responsible for insuring their work while in transit. No weekend deliveries, please. Artists may use FedEx, UPS, USPS, or an art shipper as a carrier to ship their work.
- After acceptance artists will sign an exhibition contract with Louisiana State University. This communication will occur via email with your acceptance letter.
- Work must arrive at Louisiana State University between August 19 – 28, 2026.
- Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work, alter a work, nor withdraw a work after it has been accepted. Louisiana State University reserves the right to refuse any entry which does not match the image submitted or meet the criteria. Louisiana State University reserves the right to refuse work that is not appropriate for the space.
- Every precaution will be taken to handle artwork with the utmost care. Louisiana State University will not be responsible for damage or loss from any cause during transportation. Accepted works will be insured for the duration of the exhibition; however, artists are responsible for ensuring their work while in transit.
- Include the artist’s name, contact information (e-mail, phone number), title of work, dimensions, media, year completed, and price (for insurance purposes) affixed to the back of framed work or the bottom of 3D work.
- Inquiries regarding sales will be referred to the artist.
- Several prizes will be awarded at the reception. Details for the prize amounts and sponsors are forthcoming. Stay tuned to MAPC social media and email communication for details.
